We are very excited!
As the many submissions for Graduate Metal are processed, we would like to announce that our conference guests Peter Bauhuis and Atty Tantivit will judge the awards.
We are very excited!
This year the conference party will take a more fluid form - more cocktail party than sit-down dinner . Traditionally held on the conference saturday, it will be presented back to back with Graduate Metal (that is, just around the corner, not 30 seconds away! we promise you won't get lost) at the delightful Devon on Danks. (click the link for more info).
Additional details can be found in the provisional program (download from the earlier post).
and don't forget the Pin Swap (also in an earlier post).
A great way to get to know your fellow jewellers is to share some time with them!
So, if you'd like to offer billeted accommodation to one or more interstate or overseas jewellers, please drop us a line via the contact form, located under the HOME button.
Alternatively, if you're from out of town and looking to be billeted, please also contact us and we will do our best to match you up with someone. Please note, our role is just to put people in touch with each other. We take no responsibility for what may happen after that!
Please follow the links for information about conference and workshop registration.
Earlybird conference registrations are in place until April 30.
With the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences (formerly the Powerhouse Museum) we are offering two opportunities to visit the Museum.
On Thursday July 9 join curator Eva Czernis-Ryl on a special tour of the exhibition A Fine Possession: jewellery & identity.
On Monday July 13 you can book in for "The Mysteries of MAAS: curator’s selection".
Both tours have limited spaces and a participation fee will apply. More details to follow.
Are you interested in selling books and catalogues at the conference?
We will be holding a book stall and facilitating sales of your books on Friday and Saturday. Send us an email via the contact page if you would like to sell yours.
The Pin Swap is a very important part of the conference.
It takes place during the conference party. Each participant makes a pin which goes into a lucky dip. Everyone who contributes a pin is entitled to choose from the lucky dip during the party. Contributions are usually anonymous but finding the maker is part of the fun.
What should you put in? something that you would be happy to receive yourself!
This page has been created to keep you in the loop with the progress of plans as we move closer to the conference dates. Check back periodically to find updates or subscribe to our RSS feed below.
