Description

A one day workshop with Lauren Simeoni & Melinda Young exploring and challenging approaches to making, materials & deconstructing the (found) object. This workshop focuses on the theme: ‘unnatural jewellery’. Participants are encouraged, via a series of making exercises, to confront & challenge the borders that exist within their practice. To think about what falls through the gaps when making and make new work that pushes past the edges that have previously confined their work. Work created during the workshop will be exhibited as part of the conference program in the Three Weeds Hotel kitchen garden.

Location:
Sydney College of the Arts, Balmain Rd, Lilyfield
